Whatever you believe or don't believe, the fact is that we are living in an increasingly difficult world, a world that is not getting much better.
There is persecution and decapitation of Christians in Syria, Africa and throughout the world.
There is rising anti-semitism throughout the Western world, including the United States and Europe, a sad and worrisome sign.
But there is hope for a better future.
When I first met Jacques Camhi and visited him at his office, way back when, he had a little sign that said: "I'd like to meet the guy who invented sex and find out what he's working on next."
Humorous, but let's talk about this Guy who invented sex. I believe I have met him, and you can too. I will let you figure that out for yourself, but take a good look in the Hebrew Scriptures and prophets and you will find some amazing things that this same Inventor is working on.
Look what He says in the prophet Isaiah, chapter 65:
17 “See, I will create
new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
nor will they come to mind.
18 But be glad and rejoice forever
in what I will create,
for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight
and its people a joy.
19 I will rejoice over Jerusalem
and take delight in my people;
the sound of weeping and of crying
will be heard in it no more.
When you open the Scriptures, you find that there are difficult times coming. But there are good times coming as well. Take a look at the stars on some clear night, the same stars that Araham looked at when God gave him a promise. Stars are amazing and inspiring. May the stars and the God who created them inspire you.
We are all in this together, Jews and Christians alike. So we must stand together, United with Israel.
